It’s All About Warhammer 40K
If you don’t know about this Dystopian Science Fantasy from Games Workshop then where have you been? No seriously, maybe you’re new to wargaming and you’re looking for something to get you started. (Check out our Start Collecting Kits) If that’s the case then this series is definitely for you. The game is now in it’s 7th edition which was released in May 2014. Expansions for Warhammer 40,000 are released periodically which give rules for urban, planetary siege and large-scale combat.
Warhammer 40,000’s (as it’s officially known) space fantasy is set in a futuristic universe. It’s fiction at it’s most imaginative. Various factions and races are at war. From the Imperium of Man, Orks and the Elder to daemons it’s a whole World of adventure.
It is a universe that allows for a whole lot of creation. It’s wholly possible to keep a very simple time line and still have an unlimited story.
The sheer diversity of the game is what makes it so phenomenally popular. Play it straight from the box or really go for it, the choice is yours. Use your imagination, that’s what it’s all about and what makes it so damn fun!
